About
Alzheimer’s is a disease that impairs memory, behavior, and other cognitive abilities that begin to interfere with the life and daily tasks of the individual. Unfortunately, millions of people suffer each year, and in most cases, only survive between 4 to 8 years after diagnosis. The disease severely effects their quality of life. While there are currently treatments proven effective in slowing the disease’s progression, there hasn’t been any cure to stop it altogether. In fact, there is very little known about Dementia in general.
Now, the Villa Maria is teaming up with the surrounding community to spread awareness, and support those struggling themselves, or have a loved one that may struggle with Alzheimer's and Dementia. We want to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association to help get the answers we desperately need.
We’re asking for your help to partner with us to raise awareness for this devastating disease. Help us fight for answers and be apart of a solution.
Where do you fit into all this? Show your support by registering the run or walk our 5K (route is 2.2 miles, view our route page for exact course), or if you’re not up for the run/walk, you can volunteer or become a sponsor as well.
